Since returning to Utah's Dinosaur Land, I have been forced to follow an apple-free diet.
Therefore, I have had to resort to consuming only PC.
I need apples in my life.
So, I took a journey down memory lane in search of the Uintah High School Apple Orchard.
aka Mrs. Gillman's beautiful Mac Lab.

The purpose of my journey was to design something for HURD (USU's spirit club)
and also to design a Timber Crew T-shirt for work.

well, I did neither.
BUT, I DID design my blog header.
I kind of like it, but when I got on my blog after returning home
I realized that I had forgotten to fix my left eye.
So, apparently I am now a
Pirate Dinosaur who is a fan of the Aggies.
 Woot.
(actually I just changed the header, so if you didn't see, you missed it)

There are many different kinds of apples to choose from,
ALL of which are delicious.
I would take any of them, but currently the apple of my eye is:

MacBook Pro.
Someday.

P.S. Say what you want about Uintah High School but the Mac Lab there is unreal.
Wireless Mice and Keyboards, Drawing Pad, CS3 about to get CS5 next fall.
and a whole lab of those beauties.

An apple a day keeps the Dr. away.
Sometimes, I feel like I am always listening to awesome adventures of friends of mine, and after the adventures turn south I always hear about the post-adventure drama and pain.  Don't get me wrong, I don't mind being the shoulder to cry on, but sometimes it DOES get a little tiring and my own life seems so BORING in comparison.  The way I see it, I should just become a shrink so that I can continue doing what I do but maybe, just maybe, I could make a living off of it!
Disclaimer: Kaitlyn loves her current major, and is not seriously considering becoming a psychiatrist.

Joy

Two Joyous things.

I arrived in Vernal to find yet another costume that good ol' Rex is sporting.
Second order of business.  Take a look at this.
Reasons that this picture brings me joy.
1.  It features steak, which I can finally eat again! Yay for recovery.
2. My mother made it, I didn't! woot!

The end.
For now.
The other night we ended spending a majority of the night watching YouTube videos on Whitney Gudac's big screen tv.  YouTube rocks.  So here are some of the highlights of our night:

I suggested the following, but gotta give credit to my girl Lo Tru for showing me this gem.
Lakers Champions (I like it despite the fact its about the Lakers)

Landon Larsen suggested this one. Malk.

I believe Jason Fuller pulled this up, but I could be wrong:

Ryan McKoy's contribution:

Another suggestion of mine (also in my life because of Lori's genuis)

One of the boys, can't remember which one. Brawl.

Swagger Wagon

Cora wanted to watch this:

This wasn't something we watched that night, and everyone has seen it, but I love it.

And my girl CorScho showed me this cute boy:
I love YouTube.  Woot.
Summer in Vernal was AMAZING last year.

After completing my freshman year at USU, I returned to Vernal.  The Rec Center AND Smokey had agreed to hire me back for another year.  I was stoked about this because I love my summer jobs.  Neither job was ready for me until June, however, my summer started in the beginning of May.

And that's where Mallori Charii Nelson took over.

We spent all day everyday together for that month.  It worked out perfectly because Mal was preparing to go on a mission to the New Hampshire Manchester mission.  We went running in the morning, read scriptures into the afternoon, would go to our separate houses to shower, and then we would reunite for adventures at night.  We went hiking, spent many nights at her cabin, and had game night.

It was funny, it was almost like I was Mal's first missionary companion, we spent so much time together that month.  I even helped her write her "farewell" talk.  She has almost been out a year! Chels and I miss her so much! only about 6 months left till we get one of our best friends back!
Alesha, Chelsea, Mal and I at Mal's Farewell.  :( Sad day.

One night a group of us went on a hike to Red Fleet.  It was pretty random, but way fun!

After Mal left, things got crazy.  I worked from 7-5:30 for Smokey hiking,, and would drive straight to the Facility afterwords.  I would change, put make-up on, and try to do something with my mop of a ponytail in the bathroom at work. Sometimes it would snow on the mountain so I would show up a wet dog ready to help people with their rec center needs.  Cute.

I only work M-Th for Smokey so I was still able to have a social life on the weekends.  I got to go with Lesha to Lagoooooon! It was so. much. fun.
She was on UVU's student council and they got to bring a friend along to Lagoon.  Which was awesome because Sam was on the council too and invited Chelsea/Jason to come too.  Chelsea brought Carter and her nephew Parker.  So it was a party!

After... we were SO loopy after a long day of fun (The Highlight being Odyssea) But we won't talk about that.  BEST. DAY. EVER.

(Don't judge me, I was on a ride when this picture was taken)
I went back to Lagoon later that month with my family too.  I love Lagoon!

Last Summer was just FULL of fun all around.  I'll prove it to you:

Campfires
Camping.  4 big people, one little tent.

Camping by a "Terrorist" at least he said he was one.

Game night.  Making Tenille's consequence for losing at Spoons.

Hiking in Happy Valley.
Yes, I enter Happy Valley every once and awhile.
I do these things for you, Chels.

Which led to Russell entering my life

And spending time with the little gem's of my life
and finale full of fun with a trip to Lake Powell.  (Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it) but it was INCREDIBLE.
Summer 2010, bring it.
You have HUGE shoes to fill.
So, in case you didn't know, I used to work for an Oral Surgeon who would come to vernal once a month.  I got the lovely chore of holding patient's heads while having the operation and cleaning the tools after the surgeon was finished.  Sometimes it got to be pretty nasty and it took all my strength to keep their head up while the doctor sometimes had to use hammer and chisel type equipment to get those suckers out.

So, basically, the thought of that happening to me was terrifying.

My dentist told me OVER a year ago that I needed to get my teeth out, but the day the doctors were in town just never worked out for my schedule.  So I had about a years worth of build up leading to this undesirable event.  I couldn't even think about it without freaking out.

Earlier today, I got to the office at 9 and for some reason I was completely calm.  No prob.  Which was appropriate because my procedure only took approximately 10 minutes for 4 smart teeth.  That is pretty rare.

When I worked there, my favorite part was watching all of the loopy people leaving and watching them try to get down the stairs.  Hilarious.  Some people cry, some people laugh, and some people just stare.  I guess I just kept saying I can't feel my lips and using my finger to flip my lip and make a weird noise.  She said I kept repeating stuff over and over again.  At one point Hailey gave me a bottle of water to drink and I took a drink. I was working on swallowing the water when Hailey said you're dripping blood from your lips.  I looked down, not realizing I still had absolutely no control of my bottom lip, resulting in a mouthful of bloody water out of my mouth onto my shirt.  It was a tie dye shirt, so what's a little more color right? I also tried to use some chap stick and was mad when I couldn't rub my lips together after putting it on.

The doctors didn't even recognize me or the fact that I had worked with him before.  After being drugged, I was pretty mad about that fact.

Yay for soft foods, sleeping all day, and getting it over with!

p.s. Blackboard is telling me I got an A in my Art History class.  I haven't even been excited because I just KNOW that it is a mistake somehow.  I tried to figure out my grade and all I could figure was a B.  But regardless, I'm super happy with a B.

Brief Summary.
Logan, Ut. + Utah State University + Awesome people
= my awesome life that I just had to leave behind.
Well... on to adventures in V-town.

So, took the beast of a test.  I feel like it was terrible.
133 questions on the scantron PLUS an additional 20 or so vocab on a separate sheet.  I studied my guts out and knew all the information we were told to study inside and out.  BUT, the way she sets up the questions and the 60 "read her mind" stupid questions left me feeling pretty unqualified for the test.
Guess we'll see how it turns out...

Lo Tru and K-spr hating their lives

Oh well,
The up-side to today is that I got a 91% on my oceanography final, and I'm DONE!!!! WOOHOO.

Now, be able to tell the difference, and the name and date and culture of the following:

Excellent.  Now, all you need to do is remember 71 OTHER art pieces and know the name, date, culture, and sometimes author (when available) for those as well.  Oh, and also, here's 50 vocab words.  For dessert we'll be serving a wonderful portion of "read my mind" questions.  For example:

Which of the following is more about the roles of females?

Yes, We ARE aware that ALL of these are females, and it is very confusing to have to pick which one is the MOST about the role of females.  But, we don't really care.  Thanks.

Congratulations! We put you through as much pain as possible in the amount of time we were given.  You're free!!!!!!

Well... actually I'm off to take this STUPID test in 30 min.  Wish me luck!!
