Right now, I am in a really terrible mood.  It's a long story, and I am NOT going to go into it because I refuse to be one of those people who puts their drama up on a blog for the world to see.  Anyway, while I was dwelling on the current events I was on Facebook and my roommate in Merrill Hall, Ivy, had a status about Thankful Thursdays and a link that led to her blog.  Her blog is basically where every Thursday she writes about something that she is Thankful for! What an inspiration.  You're always taught that when things are not going so well the best thing to do is to think about all the blessings you've been given.

Blessings in my life right now,

1. My Patriartical Blessing (Don't know how to spell it, don't judge me)
2. I have wonderful parents who are still together, unlike many people now days.
3.I have 2 jobs that I really enjoy who are willing to hire me back year after year.
4. Because of those jobs, I was able to pay for every part of college ON MY OWN this year.  No Loan, just my hard earned money.  (Besides my Grandma's monthly presents the last few months)
5. I was accepted into the Art Program at USU
6. I am taking art classes that don't even feel like work, just fun projects.
7. I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
8. I grew up living 15 minutes away from a temple (and I live about 5 away from one now)
9. I have a car to drive, thanks to my loving parents
10. I have great friends who keep me on the straight and narrow
11. I have good health and can do everyday tasks without a problem

Some every-day things I'm thankful for...

12. Technology that keeps me in touch with the friends that I love but don't get to see much
13. Hiking
14.. Comedians
15. Free Cell, yes I am an 80 year old woman, thanks for asking
16. Watching How I Met Your Mother at Lori's house
17. Next week I get to go back to my favorite people in the world: My Family
18. Music.  I can't live without it.
19. Warmth is coming, I hope.
20. No more homework to deal with after next week.
21. Single's Ward in Vernal, Ut.  It can't be beat.  It really can't.
22. The shuttle that takes me up Old Main Hill everyday.
23. Sweats. Sweats.  Sweats.  I wish I never had to wear real clothes.
24. Having a crush on a boy.  Even if it isn't a big deal at all, it's fun to have something to look forward to.
25.  Beautiful Logan, UT.
26.  Apples and Apple, two very different but equally awesome things
27. Thoughtful text messages
28. Inside jokes
29. Photoshop and Illustrator.  Not so much In Design though.  Not a fan, yet anyway.
30. Having people in my life, like Ivy, who remind me to get my head out of my butt and realize all of the wonderful things in my life.

Oh, and guess what.  I can say that Thankful Thursday worked.  I am in a MUCH better mood after writing this!

The other night Lori and I went to the lab planning on spending a couple hours finishing our Magazine layouts.  It may or may not have been the night before they were due, but whatevs.  Anyhow, Mine is supposed to be a magazine for USU.  We had to do 6 pages.  A cover, table of contents, and 4 pages that had to have at least 500 words per double page spread.  It doesn't seem like it would be that bad, but it takes up a lot of time.  Anyway a couple of hours turned into 7 and we didn't even realize it because we were having so much fun designing.  I love it, because it makes me feel like I definitely made the right decision on a major.
Trying to turn these beauts proved to be pretty difficult.
The day it was due, there may or may not have been some difficulties concerning a certain lady at the copy center.  She was really unpleasant towards Lori and I, but happened to be really really nice this guy Cullen.

(My theory is that she is a lesbo and just got out of a bad relationship and has put it upon herself to ruin the lives of girls everywhere.  But that's just a theory.)

Anyway, we finally got the pages printed.

Then, the foam board I had purchased a couple of days before was not big enough for all 6 pages.
Great.

So, we made a last minute visit to the Bookstore to purchase board big enough. After we got back we glued the pages on and headed to class.  On the way, the klutz that I am, I tripped UP the stairs and bent my board.

FINALLY made it to class and the teacher said it wasn't going to ruin my grade having a creased board. Thank goodness.

The best thing about the friendship of Lori and Kaitlyn is that throughout all of this we just laughed our little heads off until the tears came.  It was a fabulous day.

Here's the goods.
(Minus the title page for the article, it was being stupid and didn't want to save to a jpeg)

Magazine Cover

Title page is supposed to go here.  Maybe later.

Student highlight Story  (Which happens to be me.  Imagine that!)

Now the class is over.  I'm happy because it is one less thing to worry about, but I am going to miss it!

Call me weird, but I absolutely LOVE donating blood! I donated yesterday and it just made my entire day.  It is just such an easy way to help save someones life. Plus, Apple juice and cookies! What could be better? Oh, and they gave me an American Red Cross name tag and when I got home I just stuck it up on my wall. A couple hours later I realized that I had put it right next to my grandma's "Please don't sell your blood" note.  Made me laugh.  Don't worry grandma, I didn't sell it, I donated it!
 Welcome.
You have traveled back in time to the year 2008.  A young girl has just graduated from Uintah High School and has decided to take her adventures to an equally cold and more awesome place called Utah State University.

This is a very exciting turn of events for the young Kaitlyn, considering she had senioritis 97% of her senior year... and some in her junior year as well.  She is not alone in her journey to USU, however.

A good friend, Tenille Collett is also venturing into a new and unknown world... also known as Merrill Hall.

The girls have just receieved the list of their new roommates for the 2008-2009 school year.  Kaitlyn's list is as follows:

Merrill Hall 115:
Kacee Cambron (to live in the same room of the apt)
Candace Clark
Jessica Harvey (goes by Ivy)
Malena Eads
Shaina Aullman

After some facebook stalking Kaitlyn realized that a bond would soon form between herself and this Kacee Cambron person.

(First of all, Hello.  Her birthday is March 30, 1990.  The day after my birth.  wow.)

Little did she know, she would be rooming with someone who would soon become one of her best friends.

Kacee Cambron... ladies and gentleman.
Reasons why she rocks:

She likes to do random stuff wif me.

We would always find ourselves going to bed at 1:30 at the earliest, for no specific reason.

She has a great passion for milk, just like me.

She is HILARIOUS.  We laugh and laugh and laugh.

We went through some INTERESTING experiences as roommates.
Thank goodness she was there.

She likes food.  Just like me.
She introduced me to Cake-in-a-cup! Glorious.

(we're old cat ladies.  Note: the cat clock from Pinocchio)

There are so so so many others.  I could spend all day on this post.

My Bestie!
Happy birthday,
Even if our birthdays were a little while ago :) haha.
Love you girl.  I don't know what I'd do without you.

Disclaimer: Kaitlyn does not worship Housing Gods, but just felt it a funny way to describe how lucky she was to be roomed with KC.

This girl is definitely a favorite.

She is always there for me and makes me laugh like no one else does.

Rachelle Rose Hadlock and Whitney Norton are responsible for my survival of senior year.

No one is as caring or genuinely friendly.

I wish everyday that I could be like her.

When we hang out we just sit and talk because that's all the entertainment I need.

None of our conversations really make sense.  They consist of noises.

Everyone loves Shelly.

She was supposed to be a black girl.  Something went wrong.

She has been through so much and it has only made her stronger. :)

I am SO lucky to have her in my life and she's definitely a best friend!

Happy Birthday Shelly!!
(Technically tomorrow April 12)
BAHAHAA.  I just pulled the funniest joke on my 2nd cousin.

Lori informed him that I got a boyfriend 2 weeks ago and that things had gotten out of control between me and the boyfriend AND she had even found condoms in my possession.  Brandon was so worried about me and called me ( I was with Lori the whole time) and I brought up the fact that I had a boyfriend and that he was smokin' hott.  He got so worried and even talked to Lori about driving up to Logan to talk me into correcting my ways.

We told him it was all a joke, but now he is upset with us.  I've gotta admit though, It was

HILARIOUS.
