1. When people almost fall and then look around to see if anyone noticed...

2. Exchanges of looks between friends that are a conversation all their own, no words required...

3. When I think about a funny thing that happened and let out an audible laugh when I'm all alone and then I laugh inside even more because I laughed out loud...

4. When this girl in my art class purposely puckers her lips when being a model even though I know for a fact her lips don't naturally go that way...

5. When Tenille used to tell me "You're a idiot"...

6. Hearing someone tell the same story multiple times and every time it gets more and more dramatic...

7. Seeing 3 girls who all look exactly alike and have absolutely no brain do the same choreographed moves at a concert while my friends and I mock them behind their backs...

8. Reminiscing about roommate stories from last year...

9. When I think about my sister's famous "McKenna face" and cute and funny she is...

10.  When I make a joke and after think, "I am my dad.  He totally would have told that same cheesy joke!" (I love it)....

11. Nonsense conversations with Hailey on facebook or texting.  Example, Me: haha you'll get over it.  Hailey: Yeah I will after I kill you with a banana.  Me: Well after I'll leave that banana peel on the ground and you'll drive over it with your kart and spin to your death.  Then I'll come back and laugh at you. Hailey: Well I will skillfully avoid your banana

25.  The fact that I laughed to myself while reading through this post.  Wow.

Goodbye couch potato... enter computer-chair potato.

My roommates and I decided not to pay for cable this year.  I was just thinking about how I still keep up on my favorite tv shows by watching them online.  It is really convenient to watch tv online because you can do it on your own time (for the most part).

Shows I watch religiously,

Lori (wow she's becoming a celebrity on my blog) recently introduced me to

and I like it so much I'm going to have to catch up on previous episodes

and  then there is

I can't keep up with Friends because its..well.. over.  But it's still a favorite.

Lost.  Amazing Show.  Beautiful man.
Sawyer.  Oh well I guess technically Josh Holloway.
Either way.... Please enter my life.  NEOW.
Please and thank you.

This weekend I went to VEGAS with my dear friend Lori Truman.  I had more fun than I have in a long time!  I don't know if its just the people that I met... but I loved every single person that I met all weekend.  They know how to make you feel like you've known them your whole life.  Vegas must have something in their water... well their bottled water. :) That's ONE thing that Vernal has thats better is the tap water.

Things that I love about Vegas....

It's a beautiful thing.

Also, SUNSHINE!!

The lights of Vegas.  I was speechless.

When we somehow found the one and only dirt road in ALL of Vegas while delivering flowers.  Poor Precilla (Lori's car) had never seen such territory.

The strip... of COURSE.

My bearded Valentine on the strip (new friend John picked him out for me)

Wrestling masks with matching championship belt.  Clearly...
Meeting Lori's parents! It's always fun to meet friend's parents and Lori's were so nice and kind enough to let me crash at their place! :)

I already mentioned this... but NEW FRIENDS!

Getting to hang out with my 2nd cousin Brandon and chatting with his grandma Carol at church.

Eating at the infamous Dell Taco and only staying for about... I don't know...
2 1/2 hours! love.

Hot tubbing and NOT having to run from the frigid temperatures in order to keep all of my limbs.

Getting to share my love of JUST BUNCHES
with my new friends!

Crazy boy- Love letters

Home-made tacos... with JUST enough cheese.

Some other things I now appreciate more...

Where's my Mountain Blast? you ....uh...

Necessities for the lifetime spent in the car from Logan to sin city.

I had so much fun! It was sad to come back to cold and familiar Logan.  Thanks to Lori and her awesome parents and friends for the amazing trip! It was a blast!

I am in a graphic design seminar that meets on thursdays from 7-8 p.m.  Usually that can be kind of a drag just because its a really inconvenient time to have class.  I swear my professor planned one of the seminars just for ME though.  He couldn't have known have much I would love it.

The poster says Miley Cyrus (ugh) and John Travolta, but what it DOESN'T mention is the voice actor (Mark Walton) of the character Rhino. THE best part of the movie.

Mark Walton is on the Disney Storyboard (so jealous) and before they find celebrity actors they just have people on the story board do the voices until they are replaced by the faous people.  Well... Mark did such a great job that they couldn't find anyone better and he got to keep his part! He even got to walk down the red carpet! So rad!

Well guess what...
I got to meet him! Best day EVER.
He is one goofy dude.

I don't have a picture of it... but Lori and I are in a picture with him that was put in the USU magazine that they send out.  We're famous.  I joked about getting his autograph but I never actually did, so I was really excited when I saw that I didn't need it to have proof that I met him! haha.  If you know me at all, you know how much I love kid movies and what a big deal all of this was. Maybe I'll scan in the picture sometime.

Some of my favorite Rhino quotes:

There's no truck that I know that can keep in Bolt and Rhino!

That meet lovers pizza is NOT loving me back at all!

Bolt: Am I missing anything Rhino?
Rhino: Just the knowledge that every moment spent in your company becomes the new greatest minute of my life!

Ring Ring! Who's there? Destiny? I've been expecting your call!

Many, Many more.

One thing about Mark Walton is that he doesn't know when to shut up! We had a make-up seminar where we went to a lecture that he did before his main lecture and he kept us there for SO long talking and talking and talking.  I kept hearing Rhino every now and then and none of my friends had even seen the movie to get excited about it with me! I was so stoked!

In the Summer I am lucky enough to have two... yes TWO... bomb jobs.  I work for Smokey and at the Rec facility.
You think I like tie dye?

Most people call it the Rec center but I have stopped calling it that.  It all started when I was giving tours of the building right when it opened...

I finished one tour and then I went to get the next group.  I was being all hyper and friendly and I said, "Alright! let's go see this thing!" One of the ladies in the group said, "Uh, you mean lets go tour this FACILITY?" baha. And ever since I have called it a facility.

Annnnyway.  I have this awesome non-friend Sarah that I work with at the facility.  We are pretty much hilarious and just laugh until we cry the entire time we work together.
(picture from web camera we take membership photos with)
The first summer I worked there we saved up every receipt.  We even stole other people's receipts.  Oh, the awesome thing about these receipts was that the machine didn't cut them completely when it printed them so if you didn't give them away it left you with long strands of them hooked together.  Being the master minds that we are we decided to give them a little good-bye present when we left V town.

The results of our months of planning.  3 months of receipts.

Partner in crime Surrah.  More of a side-kick really.

It was Jeff's office.

Me trying to be sneaky.

And then Surrrah started working mornings.  Tear.
Wow.  I have had one crazy weekend/week. I am NOT writing this to get pity.  Just simply to inform about my life.  Just wanted to make that clear.

On thursday I chipped my tooth biting down on a fork... yeah, don't judge me.  Then on Friday I was super stoked because I got to go to drill state.  I had tons of fun catching up with my girls that I haven't seen forever.  Oh, and I got free candy coated almonds YUMM...  Afterwords Chelsea and I were SUPPOSED to go to a movie.  We were on our way to drop off my car so it wouldn't get towed.... AND... I got into my first wreck.

I was planning on flipping a U turn and parking on the other side of the street.  It was a double yellow line. I waited for a car that was headed in the opposite direction to pass and then I turned my wheel and pushed on the gas a little and a beamer crashed into the drivers side headlight.

The weird thing was... it didn't scare me at all.  Later I got thinking and I realized that I am really lucky that the impact didn't happen a few seconds later when I would have been completely sideways and he would have hit the drivers side door.  EEEK.

After my wreck Chelsea and I had a pretty fun night hanging out at her apartment with one of our friends    Coltin.  The next morning I woke up and realized that I had to find some way to get back to Logan... joy.  While I was stressing out about that... I got a text message from my roomie Corie that said....

"We just got robbed."

I started laughing.  This was a joke right?

Wrong.

I called her and she confirmed that it was the truth.  As soon as she told me that, I knew that my laptop had been stolen.  I asked her about it, and she checked.  Sure enough.... Kaitl's laptop MIA.  Two of my room mates had cash stolen... one $80 and the other $25 tithing money.  The other roomie had a blanket that her grandma made taken (we assume it was to carry things in).  The funny thing was that my room mate Kelsie's laptop was sitting right next to mine, and they only took mine.

My first reaction to Corie was, "Ashton! Come out.  I know you're PUNK'ing me right now."

Although we had a lot of things stolen, I was just mainly grateful that Corie and Kelsie (who were in the apartment sleeping at the time) were okay.  They had gone to sleep with their bedroom door shut and when they woke up it was wide open.  The heater was cranked up to 95 and the fan in the bathroom was on.  They felt pretty violated that whoever it was had opened their door while they were sleeping.  I don't blame them! But we have been prrretty paranoid since then.

Suddenly I am without car and laptop all in a matter of 24 hours.  BUT I went to the USU basketball game and we won so that cheered me up :)

On Sunday... (yes it continues) at about 3:00 in the afternoon (I love that in college you have to specify that) my friend Lori reminds me that the deadline to apply to be an art major is the next day.  AHH.  This  was a stressful revelation, but even MORE stressful since two things that I really needed to complete the application were missing from my life.  Lori... being the gem that she is... took me with her to Wally to get the stuff that we needed and we literally pulled all-nighters that night.  I did not even get in my bed.  I  finished my application at about 12:30 on Monday afternoon.  I felt soooo relieved.

Having no sleep actually turned out to be an awesome day though.  Lori and I were both kind of on the no-sleep high so everything was funny.  It was AWESOME!

This whole thing is kind of funny to me.  When my mom found out that I had gotten in a wreck she kept saying to people (according to Hailey's report), "When it rains, it pours."  How right she was.  The awesome thing about all of the crazy stuff that happened to me this past weekend is that all of the damage is replaceable.  No one got hurt in my wreck and all of my room mates are safe.  That's all that matters in the end.  :)  I also found out how wonderful the people around me are. I have had so much love and support shown to me. Thanks :)
